| This unique pear-shaped pot is made from fine aged Duan-ni, |
| a prized yellowish clay from Yixng. It is further mixed with a fine, |
| sandy clay. This process, also known as tiao-sha, or "mixed sand", |
| results in a beautiful, golden-hued, sandy textured teapot which resembles |
| a perfectly ripe pear. |
| The gently curving spout and delicately |
| rounded handle balance well with the slanting shoulder, creating |
| a sense of harmony and stability. The pot handles well, pours smoothly, |
| with a deep, firmly seated lid. A lively well executed design, which is a joy to use. |
